Travels 1.1 Botswana!!

Botswana!

About two weeks ago on the 12 of April 2012 (obviously this year) I left for Botswana. I had been to Botswana when I was twelve so the excitement to go again to see what had happened since I was there last was almost too much to bear!

On the morning I had checked my luggage about 3 times!! Then gulped down some breakfast… showered, then took my luggage and waited at the gate for my lift…I had tried watching TV but it was irritating me!
The reason for my trip to Bots was a time of being equipped/trained by elders to do Gods work for His kingdom. There were multiple churches from all over South Africa and Botswana.

this was our view on the road to Bots!
Re-fuelling before we reach the border!!!...milkshakes and Burgers...so healthy! :)
At the border!
Botswana where cows are a natural feature, crossing main roads at malls!

Our entertainment on the road back to Johannesburg...a friend playing the guitar!

All in all an awesome experience!

Gods beautiful display!

Here we are in autumn with winter right on our tails...fast and approaching!
Its good to go through different seasons so that we can appreciate the ones we went through. Spring and summer are good to have after the winter, but then we start complaining that its too hot…makes sense!

So yesterday we had a build up of clouds and last night it rained until early this morning. It was still cloudy and cold this morning but I was ok with it, then the next moment clouds are disappearing into the horizon and there the sun was shining through the clouds, and it made me think…

God knows exactly what the earth needs in each season, so in autumn God knows that the earth needs to be prepared for the upcoming dry and cold season, winter. Then it made me think how much more does he love us, and how very well he must know each and every one of us, to take us through seasons so that we can again bring glory to him!

So here are some pictures of what kind of view I had this morning!

Hope Your week is going well for you!

Show and Tell

Today is show and Tell!
So its Autumn therefore not quite winter of course so here are some things I would love for the season I'm in now!
a lovely pair of lace up heels!
...All I need now is a dress...

A while ago I decided to try something new with water based paint:
Yes It Was Fun!!!  I have another one, but cant seem to find the picture? I will keep looking!

Here is another thing that makes me happy, the ocean! love its blue expanse of water that never tires of crashing upon the shore!

We live in such a beautiful world, that was created by the most amazing God, I worship and love him, and thank him for his son the mediator; Jesus.
Have a wonderful week!

Time!

Use the Time:
I am trying to use the time I have to try new things, because before I know it I will have to schedule the time!

So Last winter I crocheted a slouchy beanie (a red one), so now I thought instead of suffering the cold winter with iced up ears, red frozen nose, and stiff cold neck, why not make some more beanies. Not just one more a few more, and this time have fun with colours!

On the left last winter’s beanie, on the right my latest one, I'm thinking of putting cream flowers on the band of the hat!

A while Back I danced (Ballet) with another lady at a church function…I loved…loved it!!  Its one way to stir up my passions and of course get the heart pumping!

I have also really been enjoying Baking and cooking lately and I have been experimenting, I enjoy experimenting with spices (yes you can bake with spices) and sauces. Here is a simple vanilla cake I made and I iced it with cream and sprinkled it with flake chocolate! Delicious if I may say so myself.

Last Years Autumn Display
So the first ,month of autumn has arrived... I loved it when it changes seasons, because each one has so much beauty on display.

Tip of the day:
So the one-day I wanted to use my flask and it had a bad stale smell to it and I wondered how to get that smell out of the flask, and figured it out! Pour about 10-15ml vinegar into the empty flask, put the lid on a shake the flask. Then pour the vinegar out, and rinse the flask with some water and dishwashing soap and the smell should be gone. Let me know if it worked for you?

So that’s about it from me, have a lovely day. =)

My Boston Terior...just thought I would put him in today!

Hello

Hi Bloggers world!
So being my first blog here is a bit about me!

Last year I was in matric, and now it is my first year out of school, and my sisters first year of school, I know its CRAZY!

I have three cats Chloe (she’s mine), Amy, and Alice (A Dog at heart). I have two dogs, JoJo (he’s mine, well, as I have claimed) and Snippy (a Jack Russell).
As we speak Chloe is on my lap and both dogs at my feet. You’re probably wondering why Alice is a dog at heart, well that’s because if we go out she waits at the gate for us no matter how late in the evening and enjoys the outdoors more than the indoors!

I have two parents (as all children have) they have been married for 20years. I am the older of two, my younger brother, 16.5yrs, and my little sister, 6 turning 7 and I am 19 on my way to the round number 20! EEK!

This holiday my family and I went to the wonderful holiday destination of scottburgh, the south coast of Kwa-Zulu Natal, A family member of ours was kind enough to give us their flat for 2weeks! What a wonderful place! I had to been torn away of the sea on our last day there, but even that didn’t stop me, that afternoon before leaving I took one last bicycle ride to the main beach and one last walk through the main street, which is full of little shops, even down ally ways between the buildings. I absolutely love the ocean, and swimming in it is AWESOME. So I walked away with a tan and natural highlights in my hair.

This year one big unknown to me, I am doing part time work for someone at my church, waitress on the odd Saturday (at a lovely coffee shop), but this year I would like to Au pair, and I’m hopefully going to get into the Graduate school of Marketing (IMM).

I love dancing (Ballet), doodling, scrap booking, and…well, I sometimes just get into craft making moods!

So Here’s wishing you all a wonderful, prosperous 2012!
I think I might go bake something now =)
